The Porthole Bar

Blackened oak paneling and a Calacatta Viola marble top meet a solid brass porthole window cut straight through the wall, giving the bar a captain's view into the wine room behind it. The stone was slab-matched so the veining crosses every joint without a stutter, and the service side stays invisible until it is needed. One detail, executed completely, carries the whole room.
